On 28 August 2014, Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI), with support from NARRI (National Alliance for Risk Reduction and Response Initiatives) Consortium, organised the seminar, on ‘Sharing of Updated Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) 2014’. Housing and Public Works Minister Engr Mosharraf Hossain, Housing and Public Works secretary M Golam Rabbani, Oxfam Country Director Snehal V. Soneji, chief architect of the Department of Architecture Ahsanul Haque Khan spoke at the seminar while former chief architect of the Department of Architecture ASM Ismail shared the updated BNBC to the wider audience.
The seminar was presided over by the director of HBRI Mohammad Abu Sadeque.
